Abacus Securities is looking for an experienced Security / Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a permanent, full-time role for a capable, reliable engineer who takes pride in high-quality installations, servicing, and customer care.

The Role
As a Security / Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and servicing of a wide range of electronic security systems across commercial and residential sites.
This role is ideal for an engineer who can work independently, manage their workload, and represent the company professionally on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and servicing of intruder alarms, CCTV systems, access control, and related security systems
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
Routine system maintenance and upgrades
Completing service reports and documentation accurately
Providing excellent customer service and technical advice
Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and regulations
Essential Requirements
Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Security / Service Engineer
Proven experience with intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Full, clean UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
Experience with commercial security installations
Knowledge of current industry standards and compliance requirements
Strong communication and organisational skills
